Arizona Casino to Move

As reported by the Business Journal of Phoenix: "Wild Horse Pass Casino soon will be on the move -- to the tune of $150 million.

"The Gila River Indian Community Tuesday announced plans to move the casino closer to the Interstate 10-Maricopa Road intersection. In addition to the 100,000-square-foot expanded casino, the $150 million project includes a 225-room hotel, 2,300-seat entertainment venue, conference facilities, pool, health club/spa, retail operations, a nightclub, multiple restaurants and covered parking. The number of gaming machines is expected to increase from the current 750 to more than 1,000.

"That will be in addition to the existing conference hotel and the newly relocated Rawhide Wild West Town now at the site, said Dale Gutenson, spokesman for Gila River's Casino Expansion Owner's Team…"
