Aussies Chip in for Trip to Vegas

As reported by the (Australian) Sunday Times: "Punters hoping to emulate the Australian who won last year's World Series of Poker have the chance to win their entry into the international competition at Melbourne's Crown Casino tonight.

"Joe Hachem, 40, from Melbourne's northern suburbs, became internationally famous when he defeated 5618 players to bring home a record $10 million dollars ($US7.5 million) in last year's event in Las Vegas.

"Mr Hachem will launch a poker tournament at Crown tonight giving people like himself the chance to win a package to compete in the US.

"The package covers flights, accommodation and the $13,000 entry fee to the event..."
