Aristocrat Technologies has formally

gaming
dignitaries by Warren Jowett, Executive General Manager Australasia and
Asia Pacific, and Ken Jolly, General Manager Asia Pacific, and attended by
traditional dancing lions and Chinese pyrotechnics.
The grand opening coincided with the 2006 Asian Gaming Expo in Macau
held on Tuesday 13th and Wednesday 14th June, where Aristocrat presented a
range of new and exciting system and product offerings to the market.
On display for the first time was the Video Lottery Terminal (VLT)
offering produced by Aristocrat's recently acquired Swedish company, ACE
Interactive.
Aristocrat also showcased the innovative virtual poker table,
PokerPro(TM), courtesy of a distribution agreement with and partial
acquisition of US-based PokerTek Inc. PokerPro(TM), which has generated
significant interest in the worldwide market, was named the "#1 most
innovative gaming technology product of 2005" by the Casino Journal
magazine at the recent Gaming & Technology Summit (24th-25th May, 2006) in
Las Vegas.
Other key product launches on the Aristocrat stand included two new
Hyperlink(TM) progressive jackpots for Asia: Loco Loot(TM), and Golden
Goals(TM) (an aptly timed soccer theme).
"The company has invested greatly in games development for the region.
Our investment in the creation of products specific to the diverse needs of
the Asian customer and player base represents a significant amount of the
company's overall research and development budget," said Warren Jowett.
Aristocrat was pleased to release their dedicated Chinese themes for
the Asia Pacific, Water Margin, Monkey Challenge and 50 Dragons, all of
which contain Asian-influenced themes, and highlight the company's
commitment to the region.
Ken Jolly commented, "I am happy to report that the high player
acceptance of the Aristocrat gaming product portfolio across all Asian
regions has been extremely positive, and our move towards the development
of market-specific games containing on-screen Chinese is contributing to
the uptake of the brand. With the opening of our new Macau office,
