Mississippi Official: Gaming is Back

As reported by the Biloxi Sun Herald: "During the state Gaming Commission's annual budget presentation to key lawmakers Thursday, Director Larry Gregory announced, "Gaming is back in our great state of Mississippi and is doing well."

"Gregory said many post-Katrina gambling revenue and other industry numbers look nearly as good as they did before the storm annihilated the Coast casino industry a year ago.

"…'In my view, any future gaming enterprise, no matter how it's structured, ought to be playing by the same rules as everybody else.'…"
