Executive VP to Retire From Bally

Bally Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: BYI) announced today that Robert L. Saxton, Executive Vice President -- Gaming and President of Rainbow Casino in Vicksburg, Miss., will retire from the Company effective July 12, 2006. Mr. Saxton has agreed to provide consulting services to the Company over the next four years.

Saxton joined the Company in July 1982 as Corporate Controller. He became a Vice President of United Coin Machine Co., a subsidiary of the Company, in 1987 and was elected Vice President -- Casino Operations of Bally Technologies, Inc. in 1993, and Senior Vice President -- Casino Group in 1996.
