Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc. (Nasdaq: ISLE) officials announced today the appointment of Douglas Shipley as corporate vice president of racino operations based in Pompano Beach, Fla. Shipley's initial responsibilities will be the opening and operations of the Pompano Park racino.
Shipley brings more than 26 years of experience in the
gaming industry to Isle-Pompano along with expertise in racino management. He began his gaming career as an accounting manager in Atlantic City, N.J.; moving on to Lake Tahoe, Nev., where he held a variety of management and leadership positions including financial controller, and director of food & beverage. His career path continued with responsibilities in Laughlin, Nev., as well as several additional gaming companies. In 2003, he was appointed president and CEO of Cascade Entertainment Group and most recently served as corporate vice president of gaming with Delaware North Companies based in Buffalo, New York.
Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc., a leading developer and owner of gaming and entertainment facilities, operates 15 casinos in 13 locations.
