As reported by the Patriot News: "Penn National Gaming Inc. has received the go-ahead to start building a slot-machine facility at its Penn National Race Course in Grantville.
"The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board on Wednesday approved a conditional license for the project. That enables the company to begin construction of the Hollywood-themed
casino.
"Penn National said it expects to open the casino in early 2008. It is investing $310 million, including the $50 million state licensing fee.
"The casino will be five stories high with 365,000 square feet of space. It will have a food court with three restaurants, a sports bar and track-side dining. A five-story parking garage will feature valet parking.
"Initially, the casino will have 2,000 slot machines. It could be expanded to house 3,000 machines…"
