Most of the time when Las Vegas bookmakers put out their betting lines, they are hoping the public will respond to lines that are too good to be true.
This week may be one of those weeks.
There are some suspect lines out there this week, and the one that seems to stand out the most is St. Louis traveling to face San Diego. San Diego is coming off an embarrasing loss to the Chiefs. The
game line is San Diego favored by 9.5. Both teams are 4-2.
Another interesting game is Indianapolis at Denver. The Colts are undefeated and bring a high powered offense into the game to face the Broncos and their stingy defense. Denver is favored by 3.
Chicago is also undefeated and is at home against the 49ers, the line is 16, which seems to be an inflated line, even though there is a difference in talent on the two teams the NFL rarely sees lines above 13 or 14.
These are just a few of the lines that appear to be suspect this week, but no matter what the discrepancy in the lines seem to be, these are also the weeks oddsmakers make there living on.
