Political gamblers at Sportsbook.com, the world's largest sportsbook and
casino, are
overwhelmingly betting Republicans will hang on to the Senate after next
Tuesday's elections. Almost 88 per cent of the money is going to the
Republican line. It's a different story for the House of Representatives
where almost 75 per cent of the money has been bet on a Democratic
takeover.
According to the odds makers at Sportsbook.com, the Democrats are -400
to win the House and +170 to gain control of the Senate. Republicans are
+300 to retain control over the House and -220 to retain the Senate.
Latest polls show Democrats sure to pick up some House seats but there
are as many as 45 House seats churning around in the current political
tempest - easily enough uncertainty to present a worthy challenge to
political gamblers.
