Gulfstream opens casino

As reported by the South Florida Business First: "Gulfstream Park said it will open the doors to its new casino with Las Vegas-style slot machines at noon on Wednesday.

"The Hallandale Beach racetrack thus wins the race to be the first of Broward County's four pari-mutuels to have slot machines.

"Gulfstream has bought 516 machines for its opening months of slots activities in the casino room on the second floor of its clubhouse.

"The casino at the facility, which now calls itself Gulfstream Park Racing & Casino, is to be open from noon to midnight, Wednesday…"
