The main event of the World Series of Poker is usually chaos for the first two days of the event until some of the participants are eliminated. the professionals usually lay low and let the clutter spill out before they get serious, but this year is different, many of the big names are already out.

Day 2B is turning out to be no kinder to these pros, as, just like in previous days this year, many have been eliminated.

So far on day 2B Chris Moneymaker, Eric Mizrachi, and Allen Cunningham, who made last years final table, have all been eliminated.

Of the pros that have survived so far, the 2001, 2002, and 2003 champions are all still alive, Chris Ferguson, Carlos Mortensen, and Robert Varkonyi. Also, past champions Tom McEvoy and Berry Johnson were still playing.

Gus Hansen is in the best shape of all these players with over 400,000 chips. On the other hand, Daniel Negreanu and Gavin Smith are currently fighting for their tournament lives.

On Thursday, the tournament will finally have all remaining players playing on the same day, as will be the case for the rest of the event. They will play six rounds on Thursday, and play will begin at noon.
