NFL Teams Coming Off Upset Losses Looking To Rebound in Week Two

Every year in the NFL there are preseason predictions from analysts and fans across the country, then reality sets in and teams have to perform on the field. This week several teams are hoping their week one losses were a fluke and not a sign of things to come.

The Chicago Bears were picked by many to represent the NFC again in this years Super Bowl, but after a lackluster performance in week one, Chicago must step up their game this week against Kansas City to avoid putting themselves in an 0-2 hole.

New Orleans is another team that was at the top of the talent list in the NFC, but a poor week one performance against the Colts has Saints fans a bit on edge as they look to right the ship when they face Tampa Bay.

Philadelphia has controlled the NFC East for the past few years, but if they want that trend to continue they will have to rebound from a loss at Green Bay against a Washington team that is looking to surprise some people. The Redskins have the opportunity to put the Eagles two games back in the division early in the season.

To a lesser extent, there are two other teams that had playoff hopes coming into the year, the New York Giants and St. Louis Rams, both of which lost their openers. The Giants appear to be in worse shape then the Rams, as the injury bug hit the team hard in the seasons first week.

The big match up of the week does involve two teams that won in week one, San Diego and New England. The game could be a preview of a late season playoff battle as both the Chargers and Patriots are picked as favorites in the AFC, and the winner of this game could result in home field advantage down the road in the playoffs.
