NYRA Promises Strong Bid

As reported by the NY Times Union: "The New York Racing Association is betting that experience and the title it claims to hold to three race courses will bring a franchise renewal, its chief executive said Thursday.

"'At the end of the day, the nature of running a track and, perhaps more importantly on the resolution of the land claim, we're going to be formidable,' said NYRA President Charles Hayward, who addressed about 80 people at the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce Third Thursday breakfast at the Saratoga Hotel.
