NFC East Teams Redskins And Giants Looking To Gain Ground

Dallas had started the season at 5-0 and, last week, was looking to solidify their place as one of the best teams in the NFL. Of course, that did not happen, and now the Cowboys are just holding on to being the best team in their division.

The New York Giants started the season slowly, losing their first two games, but now after winning four straight, the Giants look like a team to compete for not only a divisional crown, but a conference championship.

Joe Gibbs in Washington is keeping a close eye on both the Cowboys and the Giants, two teams that Washington is battling with for first place. The Redskins believe they have just as many weapons in place as the other two contenders and looks to prove that Sunday against a short manned Cardinal team.

Today, the Giants face the 49ers, who have been picked by many prognosticators as a sleeper contender in the NFC, but has not performed up to that level yet this year.

Washington is looking to inch closer to the Cowboys by beating a much injured Arizona team, and if both them and the Giants win, and the Cowboys lose, there could be a three way tie for the NFC East, which is something that was unexpected earlier this season.
