Virginia Tech, Boston College Square Off Tonight For ACC Lead

It took many upsets to teams above them for Boston College to get respect for the season they are having, but now they are the hunted as they enter tonight's game against Virginia Tech as the number two team in the country.

The last three weeks have not been kind to the #2 teams in the country as each team that has reached that plateau, has immediately lost the following week.

The game tonight will feature two of the hottest teams in the nation, as the Eagles have yet to lose a game and the Hokies have not lost since the seasons infancy stage.

Not only does this game have conference implications, but with their rankings being #'s two and eight, both teams are still strongly alive in the national picture.

With all of the hype that has been put on other conferences this year, this game will give the ACC a chance to show the rest of the country that they are still a conference that should be taken seriously.

ESPN will show the game at 7:45, and the game will go head to head in prime time against game 2 of the World Series.
