The meat of the college football conference schedule has arrived and this weekend several conferences will see teams eliminated from title contention as top teams are facing each other.
In the ACC, the #2 team in the country is traveling to play #8 Virginia Tech, a team that has not lost since early in the season. The
game will feature two teams that not only have conference hopes, but national title aspirations.
Out West, the PAC Ten has their version of a title game with former national power USC, for once trying to ruin another conference teams title hopes, as they travel to face #5 Oregon. #21 Cal and #4 Arizona State also meet on Saturday.
In the Big East, South Florida is looking to rebound from their loss to Rutgers, but they must recover quickly as they again go on the road to face #23 Connecticut.
Over in the SEC, where there seems to be a big game every week, Florida continues its murderous schedule when they go on the road to play #18 Georgia, and the loser will be eliminated from the conference title race.
The #1 team in the country, Ohio State, will have their first test of the year when they lock up with #25 Penn State.
At the end of the weekend, the conference pictures will be much clearer, as some teams will have fallen out of contention, while others move one step closer to a championship.
