As reported by the Bucks Free Press: "Gambling the night away at a swanky casino could be on the cards for people in High Wycombe or Marlow.

"Roulette wheels, blackjack and poker tables could be odds on in the future, according to members of Wycombe District Council's licensing committee.

"'There maybe some locations that would lend themselves to a casino,' said chairman Cllr Paul Rogerson.

"…Cllr Rogerson picked out Marlow as a prime spot that could benefit from a casino.

"…At last week's meeting the committee could have put a blanket ban on any gambling licenses but members hedged their bets and left the future open.

"…The council is currently working on its official gambling policy in line with new Government legislation which takes responsibility from magistrates and hands it over to the local authority…"
