The World Series of Poker Main Event is toughest in the first four days. Every day in the first four, players compete with thousands of other just to make it to day two. This year was no different.

6,844 players came ready to try their skill at this year's World Series of Poker Main Event. The prize pool has been set and over $9 million will go to this year's champion. The total prize pool was $64,333,600.

After all of the day ones have been complete, many big name poker players are still around for day two. The second day of competition will also be split, only instead of four days like the day ones, they will be split into two days for the remaining 3,000 players.

Gus Hansen, Jennifer Harmon, Allen Cunningham, and Howard Lederer are some of the top pros that are left in the tournament. Shannon Elizabeth, who has become a top notch poker player is also moving on to day two.

The players got a chance to enjoy Las Vegas a bit on Monday and also to rest their brains. Monday was a day off before the day twos officially begin today. The overall chip leader heading into day two is Henning Granstad.
