Authorities in Florida are looking for a couple who spent Thursday traveling to different Kangaroo convenience stores and robbing scratch off lottery tickets. The couple hit at least five stores on Thursday.

The couple would go into the convenience stores and ask to purchase several scratch off lottery tickets. Once they were given the tickets, they tried to pay for them with credit cards.

In all instances, the credit card did not go through and the couple would tell the clerk that they were going to their car to get cash to pay for the tickets. Once outside, the hopped in their car and left with the stolen tickets.

At one of the stores the scam did not work. The clerk grabbed the tickets from the couple when the credit card was denied. They were told by the clerk that if they could not pay for them, they couldn't have them.

The escape vehicle in all of these cases was a blue pick up truck. The couple got away from four of the five targeted stores with the stolen tickets.

Even if the couple did find the tickets to be winners, there is no chance of either of them cashing the winning tickets. The Florida Lottery has already voided all of the tickets that were stolen, preventing any winners from being cashed.
