Mega Millions Winner Steps Forward

As reported by the Press Enterprise: " The winner of a recent $34 million jackpot from the Mega Millions California Lottery has stepped forward to collect his prize, according to a lottery news release.

"Thomas Thornton, who bought the winning ticket for Friday's drawing at La Quinta Liquor & Deli, chose the cash option and will receive a lump-sum payment of about $17 million, before taxes.
