Kuwait would not be the first nation to come to mind when speaking about illegal gambling. There is, however, a large share of illegal underground games that are sweeping through the nation.

'Play Card' is the newest in the line of illegal games that is catching on in Kuwait. The game is played four times a day with drawings at 11:30, 2:00, 6:00, and 8:00. the game is similar to a Pick 3.

The only variation to the new game is that gamblers can also pick only one number. They have their choice of either picking the number three or eight. If the single number is drawn, then the player basically gets 10-1 odds on their money.

The new lottery is competing with some other forms of the same type game. Thai lottery, Dhan Laxmi, and Manglik are just a few of the lotteries that are competition for 'Play Card'.

"We stop taking bets half an hour before the draw. The headquarters of Play Card lottery is in Dubai, and it is offering stiff competition to Manglik and Dhan Laxmi. Another reason why people prefer Play Card is because we pay the winners on an immediate basis which is not the case with the rival lotteries," said a bookie of the game who wished to not be identified.

The Play Card game is played the most out of any of the lotteries. Thai lottery only has draws twice a month. The Dhan Laxmi is twice a day, and the Manglik also draws four times a day.
