Hong Kongers Bet on Brazil

As reported by DPA News: "Eighty two percent of people surveyed in the city of 6.8 million said they thought the current world champion would make the final of the month-long tournament and 63 percent said the South American football giant would win it.

"…Hundreds of football fans in the city, where there is a massive following for televised English Premier League matches, were questioned for the survey by market research company TNS.

"Soccer gambling was legalised only three years ago in Hong Kong. Prior to that the only legal forms of gambling were on twice-weekly horse races and a government-run lottery."
